Wilmot’s work with the Saturn Corporation confirms that the experience of our team is both flexible and relevant to a multitude of situations. Saturn wanted waste stream source reduction and recycling projects related to certain areas of the manufacturing plant.We provided waste prevention assistance that impacted all areas of the automotive production facility as well as Waste Management, Saturn’s disposal partner. Over the course of the project, Wilmot became involved in specialized services such as: evaluation of management practices, disposal site surveying and selection, vendor negotiation and capital equipment review to maximize efficiencies and reduce volume

Other Saturn project successes:

• Eliminated landfill disposal of wood waste
• Identified plastic markets
• Created alternate disposal for refractory waste
• Developed a plant-wide waste reduction education program,
• Source reduced paint sludge using technical evaluation of equipment and processes
