Tennessee Titans Stadium (LP Field)
One of our greatest success stories involves the construction of the stadium in Nashville, TN that the Tennessee Titans call home. Wilmot was responsible for waste prevention planning and implementation for construction of the mega-structure. Our directive from the contractor was “don’t slow us down and don’t cost us any money.”
We began with a program that actually sourced raw materials for construction from the site itself. This not only reduced costs but also dramatically cut dump truck traffic by 6,000 trucks and the associated wear and tear on the city’s infrastructure. Over the course of the project, Wilmot recycled over 80,000 tons of materials on the site and ultimately, generated a cost savings of more than $500,000. The Titans project is among the largest recycling projects undertaken in our nation’s history but it is just one of Wilmot’s success stories.
